In my case I’ll be triggering the process with a button on the notebook toolbar so the active tab will always be a notebook. I found this existing extension that gets the currently active tab name with ILabShell and sets the browser tab to have the same name. The only thing that appears in the browser is a somewhat broken menu, but I can get to Launch Classic Notebook in it, and indeed the old Jupyter notebook seems to work.I’m working on creating a server-side extension in JupyterLab and have been searching for quite a while for a way to get the currently active notebook name inside my index.ts file. I'm pretty sure that this is actually some frontend thing that is broken rather than Jupyter itself. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, removing configuration files, but each time I try running it I get a lot of this in the logs:įailed validating 'anyOf' in metaschema: So far, I haven't been able to get Jupyter Lab working again (it wasn't in a virtualenv, but then virtualenvs weren't the only things that got broken). Since upgrading to macOS X Mojave, I've spent a certain amount of time repairing broken virtualenvs.
